My baby's turning 2

Bella Katherine will be two in less than a month. Where did the time go? The first few months of her life were the hardest time of mine and she still keeps me on my toes but she has brought such incredible joy to our lives! She is funny, smart and just a tad energetic. She loves to pretend, can count to 20 (minus a few numbers) knows all of her letters and some of their sounds, can spell her name AND Maiza's name and can tell you anything she wants to with clear and appropriate words. She's got a great sense of humor and one great big STRONG will! We are working on her tendency to yell at Maiza and her temper tantrums. In return, she makes us cracks us up when we're not pulling our hair out.

Here are some recent photos of our Sweet Bella Baby, aka, Bella KK.

Some recent pictures of the girls

I am a natural light photographer. I love natural light and think it produces the best lighting for pictures. However, I would like to have the option of shooting more portrait sessions in the evening so I bought a light.

Here are three pictures playing with my new light. I obviously don't know what I'm doing yet. My friend Trudy was in town, however, and she has taught me a little bit about how to use it. I haven't tried it after she was here yet but I'll be sure to post more once I figure out what I'm doing.

And some with natural light:

Potty training diaries cont.

Well Bella is now needing some new sort of motivation. The initial excitement wore off and she's pee-ed and pooped in her panties more times than I can remember. UHHH the joys of potty-training. She had just pee-ed in her panties again the other day when I took her panties off to clean her up. While I was getting a new pair from upstairs she took a HUGE poop right on my family room rug. "Stinkies, Stinky Poopies" she kept saying. It took forever to get it out of the rug and out of her toenails. Oh, I didn't mention she stepped in it.

Here she is in her panties...isn't she a doll!

Denver Museum of Nature and Science

Sorry for the delay in recent posts! We had a bout of sickness run through the family. We are all healthy now so I'll try to catch up on what's been going on.

The Denver Museum of Nature and Science had a free day so Tiffany and I loaded the kids up in TIffany's van and enjoyed a day of mummies, dinasaurs and animals found all over the world. Here's a couple of pictures from our day.

Maiza insisted on wearing her ladybug wings all day. She loves those things. I told her she had to leave her "magic wand" in the car though.
